Reposting old work

I've started adding some of my old work to my Instagram (@themattboard) and has started re-uploading my Fantasy Football Maps from last year.

This was such a fun project. I originally started with Virginia after reading an article on Tor.com about fantasy maps and just wanting to try one. The FBS teams didn't make enough points of interest but adding in the FCS teams have it a nice number. I posted it to r/CFB and it kind of blew up so I started doing other states.

If I had though about how much work it was going to be originally, I probably wouldn't have done it. I ended up with a huge number of maps and had to invent 256 city names and design 256 banners (I didn't want to reuse licensed designs without permission). And I did a lot of research into each school which was fascinating.

Here is Florida (The Land of Madness) for example.

All in all, it was a great project with a huge amount of feedback from r/CFB. I didn't sell a huge amount, but enough to help pay for Christmas (thanks everybody who bought).

Maps and banners are still available for prints.
